Student Competition

United Registrar of Systems held an essay writing competition among the students of Department of Food Science & Technology, University of Karachi as a part of the Safe Food Conference 2009.

The 3 chosen writers received a prize (Free participation in IRCA Food Safety Lead Auditors Course worth Rs. 35,000/= per person) and a Safe Food Pakistan “Certificate of Achievement” from the Ms.Saadia Naveed, Deputy Director, English Biscuit Manufacturers, at the event.

The successful essays were also published in the Safefood Conference Compendium.

Following are the students who have won the Safefood Student Essay Writing Competition. With such a breed of Food Scientists coming up, the future of Pakistan Food Industry seems secure!

"Muhammad Ahsan Wania – “Infant Milk Melamine Contamination in China – Lessons for Pakistan”

URS Pakistan conducted a five day IRCA approved course on ISO 22000:2005 from October 18 - 23, 2010, and all three participants attended the course. Participants who successfully cleared the exam were awarded IRCA approved certificates last month and we congratulate them on this achievement.
